Mini B / BORIS Character Design
Early concepts and character development for MiniB / Boris from PermaDeath: A Video game Opera.
From Cerise Jacobs, the librettist:
"Mini-B and Boris - I'm sure you can tell that he's my favorite character. Mini-B would much rather be a lover than a fighter. He adores his mistress Artemis and would do anything for her. When he transforms into Boris the Boar by her magic, he's really a scaredy pig trapped in a warrior boar's body. He's a countertenor."
MiniB shows of his fashionista side with a tasseled pink scarf.
Cowardly MiniB takes to hiding behind his mistress's leg.
Previous MiniB concepts looked a bit too "doll-like" and were revised to give off a more naturalistic feel.
When forced to take action in combat, MiniB pilots a giant mech (BORIS) from the shelter of its cockpit.
BORIS's charging configuration.
MiniB's fashion-forward thinking translates into decals on BORIS's mech armor.
Take note of his emoji-visor.
BORIS's frontal mass was designed for charging, and his boosters provide an extra punch.
