Marsyas Character Design

Early concepts, character development, and asset design for Marsyas from PermaDeath: A Video game Opera.

From Cerise Jacobs, the librettist:
"Marsyas. He's a satyr, half goat/half man. He is a dark creature of the deep forest, of primeval nature, where not much sunlight gets through. He's comfortable in darkness, underground, amongst the tunnels and veins of ore which are mined to created the 21st wonders of computers and smart phones. He will burst forth from darkness and take the world by storm for he's underrated, downtrodden and forgotten. He's a bass, deep and dark."

Marsyas lives underground in the forest and he was designed to reflect that.
